Really enjoyed the Neuhaus sound installation bit. The idea that a continuous drone has been sitting beneath Times Square since '77, completely powered by a streetlamp, is kinda wild when you think about how ephemeral most public art feels. I stumbled across it once without knwoing what it was and honestly thought my ears were playing tricks onme. It makes sense that Neuhaus came from a Cage background since that whole philosophy of ambient sound feels very much in that tradition.

Yes! Totally agree. I doubt it by accident a while back too! I’m wondering if there’s more sound art around the city I might’ve missed.
